Melting:
Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) or Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD)
Primary Working:
Hot forging/rolling at 950-1200°C (1740-2190°F)
Solution Annealing:
980-1025°C (1800-1880°F) followed by rapid cooling
Age Hardening:
Single stage: 595-620°C (1100-1150°F) for 16 hours
Double stage: 790°C (1450°F) + 595°C (1100°F) for optimal properties
Finishing:
Machining (recommended in annealed condition)
